About RBA

Reformed Benefits Association is a non-profit organization created  in 2014 to provide insurance benefits for churches, denominational staff and similar ministries. Our team is second to none in assuring peace of mind to our members. We are experts in our field, committed to delivering the highest level of benefits care with attentiveness, warmth, and integrity.

Michelle De Bie

Managing Director

Michelle earned a business degree from Calvin College and a Master of Social Work from Western Michigan University, before spending 28 years in the human resources and benefits administration fields. She began working with the CRCNA’s HR department in 2007 and has served as the Managing Director of RBA since its inception. Michelle is passionate about simplifying the work of ministry partners by providing quality services and is credentialed with both SPHR and SHRM-SCP.

Nikki Huttenga

Benefits Manager

After receiving her Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Davenport University, Nikki worked for a benefits software vendor for seven years before coming on with RBA. She is excited by the ever-changing landscape of health insurance and loves working with the broad range of churches and employer groups who participate in RBA. Her specialty is assisting churches navigate the changing landscape of insurance, and she enjoys working behind the scenes to manage her team. Nikki is a certified Group Benefits Associate (GBA).

Sarah Hull

Senior Benefits Specialist

Sarah’s degree in hospitality and tourism management from Grand Valley State University makes her an expert in customer service. Her experience in the service industry prepared her for a career in benefits administration, beginning as an account manager for an HR firm and eventually coming to RBA. In an ever-changing and increasingly complex field, she is passionate about making the benefits process as easy for clients as possible.

Dawn Benjamin

Billing Specialist

Dawn received a bachelors degree in accounting from Northern Michigan University, which launched her into 13 years of insurance agency work. She is licensed in Michigan Life, Accident, and Health Insurance administration and acted as a benefit consultant, account manager, and agent service representative with three companies before arriving at RBA. As a billing specialist, Dawn works hard to ensure accuracy in premium invoices and cares deeply about good financial stewardship.
